Positive Hits a Hole in One with Gary Player

It has always been thought that to achieve the perfect print job you need to go Litho, not true!

In June 2014, PIUK was tasked with producing the printed collateral for Gary Player’s invitational items for a prestigious event taking place at the renowned Wentworth Golf Club. With the quantities required the project really lent itself to Digital rather than Litho printing to achieve the best possible unit rate. Also, the time frame was such that we had to turn this around quickly but without it impacting on the quality. With solid blacks on all items we had to ensure that there was no marking or banding to achieve the premium finish the client required. Banding can be an inherent problem with Digital printing but by running the job one side at a time rather then printing both sides at the same time and with choosing the best materials available we managed to avoid this issue.

By drawing on the extensive in house experience of our production team we were able to choose the correct materials and finishing solutions and made sure that the full range of products came with a Litho quality feel but at a reduced Digital cost and in the required short time frame.

“Just wanted to let you know the BGPI went very well and the client was really happy with all the print. I was impressed with the quality – much better than I’d anticipated – a great reminder of how good the Indigo is in the right hands.

Thanks very much for all your help and the file copies!”
